Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Fraziertold the *St. Paul Pioneer Press* Saturday that he is keeping his options open when it comes to filling the open starting quarterback position.
"It's kind of a matter of who's available," Frazier said. "And we need to find a guy who we can build around. That would be the ideal situation."
The team could acquire a veteran, choose a quarterback in the NFL Draft this month or go with second-year pro Joe Webb, whom they drafted in the sixth round last year. He played in five games last season -- starting the final two -- in relief of ailing starter Brett Favre and backup Tarvaris Jackson.
"If Joe Webb can be that guy, it'll be Joe Webb," Frazier said. "We like Joe; we like some of the things he did at the end of last season. We're going to give him a chance to compete for that starting job as well. It's open. We hope to have a young guy, and maybe a veteran guy. But it's going to be open competition."
