Eight players can be suspended for transgressions that occurred during the NFL lockout, according to a document obtained by Yahoo! Sports.
The report claims the NFL Players Association and NFL came to an agreement that the following players are eligible: Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib, Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt, Bengals running back Cedric Benson, Patriots defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, Cardinals linebacker Clark Haggans, Packers defensive end Johnny Jolly, Packers cornerback Brandon Underwood and Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones.
Benson has already been suspended three games for allegedly assaulting his former roommate. He will appeal the ban this week on the grounds the league does not have the right to punish players for events that occurred during the lockout.
Britt and Talib met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell last month, and were not disciplined.
One curious name on the list is Haggans, who does not have a known history of legal trouble or problematic behavior. A Yahoo! call to his agent was not immediately returned.
