Tom Brady put on a passing clinic in Saturday's 45-10 rout of the Broncos. But the superstar quarterback also could teach a class in the art of psychological warfare.
Brady participated in his regular Monday morning chat with Boston's WEEI-AM, where he discussed dispatching Denver and the challenges presented by the Ravens, the Patriots' opponent in Sunday's AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium.
"The Ravens, they're the best team we've faced all year, and there's no one that's going to overlook a team like that," Brady said, according to The Boston Globe. "It would be impossible to do. They present a ton of challenges in all three phases of the game."
Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs said Sunday that he takes pride in that fact that his team is ugly, not pretty like Brady and the Patriots. Brady didn't provide any commentary on Baltimore's gene pool, instead heaping praise on the team's celebrated defense.
Said Brady: "When you watch them, like (Sunday in a 20-13 victory over the Texans), they're physical, they're tough, they can cover and they've got some of the best players in the history of the NFL at their positions, in Suggs and Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and Haloti Ngata -- you've got phenomenal players there. So we've really got our work cut out for us."
Brady is doing it The Patriot Way, pumping up the opponent while privately scheming to destroy them.
