After a tumultuous 8-8 season that featured locker-room dissension and ugly tabloid headlines, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson will sit down with quarterback Mark Sanchez over dinner next week, where they will likely go over what happened in 2011 and examine how 2012 can be better.
According to the New York Post, Johnson, in Indianapolis for the Super Bowl, also said he will get together with coach Rex Ryan.
"We're trying to make our team better. We're using every ounce, every nerve cell we have, 24/7, trying to improve this team," he said.
Johnson had kind words for Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson, who recently called the team's locker room atmosphere last year "as bad as I've been around."
"I called him but I didn't get him," Johnson said. "But LaDainian's amazing. I hold him in the highest [regard]. Everybody was frustrated at the end of the season. We won't hold him accountable for that."
