New England Patriots coach Bill Belichicktold NFL Network's Alex Flanagan on Sunday morning that tight end Rob Gronkowski is a lock to play in Super Bowl XLVI.
Belichick wouldn't specify exactly how much playing time Gronkowski will see, though he told Flanagan that he can't picture the tight end sitting out because of his injured left ankle.
Gronkowski was seen Saturday walking limp-free during a Super Bowl photo shoot. On Friday, the tight end officially was listed as questionable for the game after participating through that day's walk-through.
Gronkowski injured his ankle two weeks ago during the Patriots' victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game, and his health has been closely followed since.
