The New England Patriots might not be finished adding to their stable of running backs.
Free agents Joseph Addai and Tim Hightower visited with the team this week, a league source told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
ESPN also reported former Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant will meet with the Patriots on Friday.
Addai was part of the Colts' deep offseason veteran purge, and Indy never displayed any interest in re-signing him.
Hightower, meanwhile, is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered during his lone season with the Washington Redskins after three campaigns with the Arizona Cardinals. He can't be considered more than a depth move for the Patriots, but a healthy Hightower gives Bill Belichick added versatility in the backfield.
With BenJarvus Green-Ellis stationed in Cincinnati, New England must find support for Danny Woodhead. Second-year players Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley might see increased carries, while Kevin Faulk sounds open to one more season if he's wanted.
