We're cranking out at least 35 posts a day here at Around the League. And yet that doesn't feel like enough when most of the NFL is practicing at the same time. Here were some of the depth chart nuggets worth noting for all the football nerds out there.
- Ryan Tannehill was third in line for snaps at Dolphins OTAs. Matt Moore and David Garrard are mostly taking snaps with the starters. Moore is the favorite to start, but it's ridiculously early. (That disclaimer could go on every one of these posts).
- Karlos Dansby is at middle linebacker in Miami's new 4-3 defense. Jared Odrick is at defensive end. Look for rookie running back Lamar Miller to take some snaps out of the slot.
- Former Patriot Brandon Tatelined up as Cincinnati's No. 2 wide receiver on the first day of OTAs. This is a bit of a surprise, but we wouldn't expect it to stick. Rookies Mohamad Sanu, Marvin Jones, veteran Jordan Shipley, and even sleeper Armon Binns are all candidates for the spot.
4.Gary Kubiak singled out rookie receiver Keshawn Martin and Trindon Holliday as candidates to replace Jacoby Jones on Houston's thin-looking receiver group.
- The Green Bay Packers lined up first-round pick Nick Perryas the starter at outside linebacker right away. Second-round pick Jerel Worthy lined up as an inside rusher with the starters in the team's nickel package. Former outside linebacker Brad Jones was playing inside linebacker.
- Dallas Clark will make $2.7 million on a one-year contract with the Bucs, according to ESPN. He gets $1 million guaranteed, which should ensure his spot with the team.
