Terrell Owens demands cash, apology from IFL team

Though we'd love to get back to discussing things like actual football, Justin Blackmon and -- naturally -- Terrell Owens are making it very difficult.

We told you last week that Owens was lawyering up after the Allen Wranglers released the former NFL wide receiver and added the kiss-off of a $50 buyout of his ownership stake in the Indoor Football League franchise.

Smith: T.O. loves fame, not football

Terrell Owens loves everything that goes along with being a football star, but Jason Smith thinks the game bores T.O. **More ...**

Now TMZ is reporting that Owens is giving the Wranglers an ultimatum: Issue a public apology and pay him the $160,000 he believes he's owed or face litigation.

The Wranglers severed ties with Owens over his refusal to play in two road games and for missing a charity appearance at a local children's hospital.

Owens seems particularly peeved about the charity appearance, saying the Wranglers had privately acknowledged a team publicist had given him the wrong date for the visit. He has given the team a Tuesday deadline to apologize and cut the four game checks he says he's still owed.

Could you possibly need any more information on this story? I didn't think so. Let's move on.
