Former NFL offensive lineman John Williams, who played eight season for the Los Angeles Rams and four with the Baltimore Colts, died Sunday at age 64, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.
The newspaper said Williams died while out for a walk. He had become a dentist and community leader in Minneapolis since his retirement from the NFL in 1979.
The Colts drafted Williams in the first round out of the University of Minnesota in 1968, and he played in two Super Bowls for Baltimore.
