Dion Lewis' scheduled court appearance has been pushed to next week.
A clerk at the Albany (N.Y.) City Court told NFL Network and NFL.com on Wednesday that Lewis' case has been adjourned until July 18 to give his newly designated attorney time to catch up on the case.
The Philadelphia Eagles running back was arrested early Sunday for pulling a fire alarm outside an Albany hotel. His brother, Lamar Lewis, also was arrested.
Both men were charged with falsely reporting an incident (a Class E felony) and reckless endangerment of property (a Class B misdemeanor). Dion Lewis reportedly was intoxicated when officers arrived but was said to be cooperative.
The lesson here? If you're locked outside your hotel, don't pull the fire alarm. This is doubly true if you're a fringe roster guy in the NFL.
