Detroit Lions

Perfect draft pair: Florida LB Jarrad Davis (Round 1, pick 21); Michigan TE Jake Butt (Round 2, pick 53)

Brooks on Davis: With DeAndre Levy recovering after knee surgery, the Lions need someone who can occupy his role. Davis is physical, tough and instinctive. He does a great job playing multiple spots. I think he would be a nice fit in that defense. Ziggy Ansah needs someone else in that front seven who can help him make plays. Davis fits the bill.

Jeremiah on Butt: Butt could be a tremendous value pick. I think he's ahead of schedule in his rehab from the knee injury he suffered in the Orange Bowl. I think he could be ready for the start of the season. He can block and help Detroit in the passing game.

On the Move the Sticks podcast, former NFL scouts Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks break down the latest news and action around the league from a scout's perspective, alongside NFL player personnel executives.
