Quick Take: Titans (6-3) at Broncos (4-5)

Last meeting
Quarterback Jake Plummer passed for 303 yards and two touchdowns, and running back Reuben Droughns rushed for 91 yards with a pair of scores to lead the Broncos to a 37-16 road win on Dec. 25, 2004.

Streaks
The Titans have won three of the last five and lead the all-time series 20-12-1.

Last week
The Jaguars ran past the host Titans, getting touchdown runs from Maurice Jones-Drew, Fred Taylor and two from Greg Jones in a 28-13 win. The Broncos enjoyed a rare win at Arrowhead Stadium, as they defeated the Chiefs 27-11. Rookie Selvin Young rushed for 109 yards and scored the first touchdown of his NFL career.

At stake
The Titans are in the thick of the AFC playoff race, trailing the AFC South-leading Colts by one game. The Bills (5-4) and Browns (5-4) also are chasing the Titans for one of the last playoff spots in the AFC. The Broncos trail the AFC West-leading Chargers by one game and have some work to do for a wild-card berth.

Key matchup
Titans running attack vs. Broncos run defense. One of the top NFL rushing teams faces off against one of the NFL's worst defenses against the rush. In addition to Titans running backs LenDale White and Chris Henry, the Broncos also must contend with quarterback Vince Young, who led the Titans with 52 rushing yards last week. Tennessee struggled a bit running the ball against Jacksonville, but falling behind by 18 points will do that. The Broncos, who have shown signs of life on defense, held Priest Holmes to 65 yards on Sunday. Could this be a sign that the Broncos are finally grasping the defense of coordinator Jim Bates? This week should certainly answer that question.

Did you know?
The Titans have won their last two road Monday Night Football games, and Young is 6-3 as a starter on the road. ... Broncos coach Mike Shanahan is 10-4 at home on Monday nights.
