Raiders turn to rookie Tonga as starting fullback vs. Texans

Oakland Raiders rookie fullback Manase Tonga will start Sunday against the Houston Texans and be the lead blocker for the NFL's leading rusher, Darren McFadden, according to NFL.com senior writer Steve Wyche.

Normal starting fullback Marcel Reece will sit out with an ankle injury after being listed as questionable.

Raiders cornerback Chimdi Chekwa also will miss the game with a hamstring injury, but safety Michael Huff is active after being listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

Cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke is in the lineup for Chris Johnson, and defensive end Jarvis Moss will start for Matt Shaughnessy.

For Houston, Chris Ogbonnaya will be the main backup to running back Arian Foster. Ben Tate (groin) is active and will be the No. 3 running back. Derrick Ward (ankle, shoulder) is inactive.

Wide receiver Andre Johnson and quarterback T.J. Yates also are inactive, as expected.
