Lions fine Raiola $15K for inappropriate conduct toward fan

Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola said Wednesday that the team fined him $15,000 for his actions after last weekend's victory over the Miami Dolphins.

Raiola was filmed responding to a fan in Miami with obscene words and a hand gesture as he walked off the field following the Lions' 34-27 win Sunday.

Raiola, a team captain, said Wednesday it wasn't a good way to conduct himself.

"It's like when you're a kid, and you do something wrong, and you get beat up for it, your dad beats you up," Raiola told the *Detroit Free Press*. "I got beat up. I got fined. Usually, you move on to the next day."

Raiola was fined $7,500 by the Lions two years ago for inappropriate conduct directed toward fans during a home loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

"I'm just emotional," Raiola said. "Interaction with the crowd, it's a part of every Sunday."
