Jordan Palmer, who had been behind his brother on the Cincinnati Bengals' depth chart, has appeared in just four NFL games and thrown 10 complete passes for 59 yards.

The Jaguars also added Chinese kicker Long Ding, who came to the attention of NFL scouts when he attended a regional combine in New York. Ding was twice named Easter Collegiate Football Conference Special Teams' Player of the Year.

Jacksonville's starting kicker, Josh Scobee, hasn't signed his franchise tag tender and is pursuing a long-term extension.
