Carolina Panthers rookie linebacker Luke Kuechly is the latest in a proud tradition of NFL players with difficult names to spell. "Kuechly" might not be as long as Houshmandzadeh or Tuiasosopo, but there are a lot of places to mess it up. Some poor equipment manager in Carolina knows what I'm talking about.
This isn't the best route for helping Kuechly's jersey sales or name recognition. It does make me like the guy more; Kuechly noticed it a while ago and just didn't say anything.
Kuechly knows the best way to get noticed, though, is to make plays. He's been an immediate starter on the weak side, and made an over-the-shoulder interception of Cam Newton at Carolina's scrimmage Saturday night.
