The 911 call made by the neighbor of Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada was released on Monday by the Broward Sheriff's Office and Davie Police Department, shedding more light on the incident that preceded the wide receiver's arrest on Saturday night.
As had been laid out in the police report, Lozada went to a neighbor's home after her altercation with Johnson in the driveway of their Davie, Fla., home.
In the phone call, Lozada can be heard telling her neighbor, "He head-butted me." The unnamed neighbor was unsure if Johnson had returned to his home or was in his car looking for Lozada, saying at one point, "I don't want him to come in here and get mad at me."
Lozada is described as having "a nice cut" to her forehead that possibly needed stitches. The neighbor requested police use discretion when arriving at the home.
"He's a very high-profile person, so we'd like to keep this as quiet as possible," he said. "We don't need the news here."
The tape doesn't provide many new details, but it's an uncomfortable listen nonetheless. Lozada signed an affadavit stating she will press charges against Johnson in relation to the incident.
