So I set the ground rules last week: The writer with the worst record from the previous week has to write the introduction to our picks column. I didn't expect to be the one writing it.
My 7-9 record from Week 1 might look like a typical Pete Carroll season to you, but it looks heroic to me. Marc Sessler and Dan Hanzus had a competition to see who could come up with the more boring picks. It paid off. In the biggest upset of all, there were barely any upsets in Week 1.
The fan consensus also kicked my ass. Chalk won. It won't win over the course of the season. I don't plan to be writing this intro again. Now let's go Seahawks!
