The Pittsburgh Steelers are growing accustomed to playing without their full complement of defensive starters this season.
Brooks: Thursday night primer

After getting James Harrison back in the fold, the Steelers will be without outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley for Thursday night's meeting with Tennessee Titans, Bob Labriola of Steelers Digest reported.
Woodley left Sunday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles with a hamstring injury, and the short week wasn't enough time for him to get healthy. Safety Troy Polamalu also is out with a nagging right calf injury that has shelved him for three games this season.
While neither loss is surprising, it places increased heat on a Steelers defense that has bled yardage all season. Jason Worilds will see time in Woodley's spot, and it means Harrison will play a ton, just as he did against the Eagles after the Steelers floated the idea of rotating their outside linebackers.
