One week after Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson talked about playing through a concussion, James Harrison talked about playing through many of them.
The Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker told The Associated Press he's battled through "double digit" head injuries, but never missed a game because of it.
Harrison isn't completely ignoring the dubious trend. The four-time Pro Bowler has become the first player to incorporate CRT padding into his helmet, the same material designed to protect the U.S. armed forces. Harrison said a quarter-inch buffer of military-grade Kevlar has chopped down on postgame headaches.
Probably not for opposing quarterbacks, but that's not Harrison's problem.
