Ryan Tannehill injured in Miami Dolphins' victory

Rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill is on the Miami Dolphins' sideline after suffering a left quadriceps and knee injury during Sunday's 30-9 victory against the New York Jets. He is questionable to return.

Tannehill was injured in the first quarter when Jets linebacker Calvin Pace came unblocked on a third-down play and pulled the quarterback to the ground for a sack.

Tannehill didn't take a hard hit from Pace, but he limped off the field and was examined on the table by Dolphins trainers. Matt Moore immediately began warming up and entered the game following a three-and-out by the Jets on their first drive.

UPDATE: Tannehill told reporters after the game that he hyperextended his knee and also suffered a deep thigh bruise. He will undergo an MRI on Monday. Tannehill also said he could have played in an emergency situation against the Jets.
