Tennessee Titans tight end Jared Cook hasn't been used a ton this season, to the surprise of many fantasy football owners out there. Cook also doesn't sound happy about it.
Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports there are indications that Cook has requested a trade ahead of Thursday's extended NFL trading deadline.
Coach Mike Munchak said he can't see a situation where the Titans would trade Cook, according to Wyatt, and that the team is trying to get the tight end more involved on offense.
Cook is in the final year of his contract, but we highly doubt the Titans would want to move him. They have not yet given up on the season at 3-5. If Cook leaves via free agency, they would receive a compensatory pick in return. Most importantly, he's still too valuable to their offense.
Cook might be unhappy about his role, but he still ranks second on the team with 28 catches and 373 receiving yards. We'd be very surprised if the Titans move him.
