The secondary of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers continues its struggles away from the field.
Buccaneers safety Ahmad Black was cited for marijuana possession by Hillsborough County police last week, the Tampa Bay Times reported Tuesday.
Black was charged with less than 20 grams of the substance, according to court records obtained by the newspaper. The second-year defender wasn't arrested, but faces arraignment Dec. 3.
Black's troubles come on the heels of cornerback Eric Wright reportedly facing a four-game NFL-imposed suspension for Adderall use. This comes on the heels of cornerback Aqib Talib -- before he was traded to the New England Patriots -- receiving a four-game ban for the same substance, which violates the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
It goes without saying that marijuana isn't listed among the league's approved substances, so it's another detour for the Buccaneers' young defense.
Black has appeared in eight games this season after spending most of last year on the practice squad. He's a target to miss time down the road if the NFL decides to punish this run-in with police.
