Perhaps Braylon Edwards was right. Maybe the New York Jets' front office really isn't that bright.
One week after Edwards called the Jets' decision-makers a bunch of "idiots," the New York Post and ESPN reported Monday that the team is thinking about adding the wide receiver to its roster. Reports also suggested Sunday that the Jets considered acquiring Edwards via trade earlier in the season.
Edwards was waived Monday by the Seattle Seahawks, and the Jets could claim him or sign him after he clears waivers Tuesday. With an injury to rookie Stephen Hill, the Jets are very thin at wide receiver. Reserve Clyde Gates also is suffering from a concussion.
