A bad afternoon for the Houston Texans got a whole lot worse in the third quarter of a 23-6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Texans running back Arian Foster left the field with an irregular heartbeat and did not return, although he's expected to be OK.
"He's doing fine, and so that's why we took him out of the game," Texans coach Gary Kubiak said. "... It's something that happened once before in practice -- I'm not sure when it happened. It's just a precaution."
Foster echoed his coach's feelings.
"I'll be fine," Foster said, via Texans public relations. "I'll be OK. It's a very minor situation, so I'll be OK."
Foster had struggled throughout the day against the Vikings with just 15 yards on 10 carries. Foster also lost a fumble.
Houston struggled to pick up yards in short-yardage situation, with its offensive line being manhandled. It's not the Texans' offense we're used to seeing, and any issues for Foster are especially concerning with the playoffs so close.
