Connor Barwin might have had the greatest goodbye advertisement in the history of the practice. (Is there a written history of these things?)
Barwin thanked a number of random people on top of the regular list of teammates, fans and such. Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert was among those who received a shout-out.
"That was just me trying to have some fun," Barwin told USA Today's Robert Klemko on Friday. "But obviously he's my favorite quarterback in the NFL because I sacked him the most."
There was a shoutout to Bernie the Bear. "That's my stuffed animal," Barwin said.
The list wouldn't have been complete without Timothy the popcorn guy.
"Timothy the popcorn guy is an old man who randomly will be at any kind of small show in Houston," Barwin said. "He kind of walks around with this brown bag of popcorn, and he's always sharing it with everybody. He puts some kind of Cajun seasoning on it, and it's actually incredible."
Patty McGroin, Mohawk Steve, delivery guy Tim and Barwin's cleaning lady also made the cut in the thank-you page.
Barwin signed a six-year, $36 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this month. We can't wait to hear about who Barwin meets in South Philly.
(Attention South Philly residents: That was just a joke. Don't come after me. My wife's a Temple grad. I love Philly.)
