Rex Ryan thinks the Baltimore Orioles should have been more accommodating for the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens. Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Ryan has bigger things to worry about.
"I'd be a little more concerned about Nov. 24 when the Jets come here and try to figure out a way to beat the Ravens," Showalter said Friday, via The Baltimore Sun's Dan Connolly.
The Ravens will open the season at the Denver Broncos because of a schedule conflict. The Super Bowl champions usually kick off the NFL season at home, but the Orioles host the Chicago White Sox at 7:05 p.m. ET on Sept. 5. The two stadiums are close by and share a parking lot. An evening football game made the logistics impossible and the Orioles declined to move their game.
Showalter had one more suggestion for the New York Jets coach.
"I try to stay out of things I don't know about," Showalter said. "I would stay in what is my area of supposed expertise."
Pretty sure that's the politically correct way of saying: Mind your own business and keep my name out of your mouth.
