When breaking down the Houston Texans in our "Draft Questions" series, we focused on the team's need to add a complement to Andre Johnson who could eventual be his successor.
We're hardly the only ones to make this point. In fact, even Andre Johnson thinks Andre Johnson needs help.
"I'd like to have another (receiver)," Johnson said Saturday, according to the Houston Chronicle. "I'm all for it. I've asked for it for awhile. The more weapons we have, the better it'll be for the team."
The Texans waived Kevin Walter in March after six seasons as a starter. Truth be told, Walter's production didn't warrant that long of a run. Houston likes 2012 third-round pick DeVier Posey, but he'll likely miss the first half of 2013 as he recovers from surgery to repair a torn Achilles.
"If we're able to add another guy, it would probably be the best group of receivers we've had since I've been here," Johnson said, quite tellingly. "Adding another guy (to go with) Posey, Lestar (Jean) and Keshawn (Martin) -- that's a lot of talent. Not only would it be good for now, but it would be good for our future."
One option to keep an eye on: Tennessee wideout Justin Hunter might be in play for Houston at 27th overall. Hunter is raw, but his speed and playmaking ability are undeniable. NFL Films analyst Greg Cosell calls Hunter "the most physically talented" receiver on the board.
