SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- A former Oakland Raiders assistant coach is facing up to four years in state prison after being convicted of striking a man with a beer bottle outside a California bar.
The San Luis Obispo Tribune reported Monday that jurors found Randy Hanson guilty of felony battery and misdemeanor assault.
Hanson testified he acted in self-defense after 51-year-old James Kelsey approached him at the Pismo Beach bar in August and taunted him about Cable. Hanson conceded he remembered little about the night because he'd had 10 glasses of wine.
Kelsey testified the attack left him with a broken nose and concussion.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 10.
