Andrew Luck: 'I'm 100 percent more comfortable' now

Andrew Luck made more "wow" throws than any other rookie quarterback last season. He also made the most mistakes of the big three rookies.

After one season under his belt, Luck thinks things have changed a lot.

"I'm 100 percent more comfortable than last year. It's nice to be able to have the full offseason with the team," Luck said in an interview that will air Wednesday on NFL Network's "NFL Total Access."

Top 100 plays of 2012

[internal-link-placeholder-0] "NFL AM" on NFL Network is counting down the greatest plays of the 2012 season. Tune in regularly throughout the summer to see which thrilling plays are revealed in the epic list. **More ...**

Luck missed time with the Colts last summer because of the NFL's rules on graduating seniors. This year, he's in Indianapolis learning a new-old offense from his college coordinator Pep Hamilton, who joined the Colts in the same role in January.

"I'm really glad he's here," Luck said of Hamilton. "I'm very happy for coach (Bruce) Arians down in Arizona. I don't think anyone deserves the opportunity more than he does. ... Obviously, (Hamilton's) offense is different. In the end, it's still football, but you still gotta go out there and make the plays."

Luck had to carry his team more than his fellow rookies last season because of a lackluster offensive line and running game. The Colts have filled in their roster this season, but it's natural to expect a slide back to .500 for this overachieving roster. That just means Luck will have to be even better. He already has shown the capability to be a top-five quarterback, sooner than later.

"(I'm) glad we could do some positive things, but I don't think what we did last year has any bearing on ... this year," Luck said.
