The Baltimore Sun reported that Pitta "drew some interest" from the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers, but neither team presented an offer sheet.
Pitta can become an unrestricted free agent in 2014. The Ravens would like to get a long-term deal done before that.
Pitta is coming off a season in which he set career highs in receptions (61), yards (669) and touchdowns (7). He was an impact player in the playoffs, finishing with 14 catches for 163 yards and three touchdowns in four Ravens wins.
With Anquan Boldin now collecting paychecks in San Francisco, Pitta will take on a much bigger role in the Ravens' offense. Pitta cracking NFL Network's "Top 100 Players of 2013" countdown was generous, but his connection with Flacco should last for years to come in Charm City.
