"It's a lot different," Bryant said Thursday, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "At the beginning, Tony was the teacher and I was the student. I felt like at times, it wasn't supposed to be like that. It came to a point where (I said), 'Hey, I need to know this.' But now, it's a whole different story.
"(We're) still working a few wrinkles out, but for the most part, I've got everything down. ... The relationships all these wideouts have with Tony is fabulous. (We're) just basically focusing on executing plays and doing our best."
Romo's chemistry with his receivers is on hold while he recuperates from surgery to remove a cyst in his back.
Pretty words aside, outside of Bryant and Miles Austin, the rest of this receiver group is suspect. The team's official site writes that third-year wideout Dwayne Harris has made the "biggest jump" this offseason, but he's caught just 37 passes over two seasons. Rookie Terrance Williams has been unimpressive during offseason workouts, and the rest of the cast -- Anthony Armstrong and Cole Beasley -- are projects.
For the Cowboys to break free from back-to-back 8-8 campaigns, Bryant's continued growth is a must, and Romo's "fabulous" relationships with the rest of the bunch must translate on the field. How well they get along off of it doesn't amount to much.
