Dwayne Bowe isn't ready for training camp.
Fresh off a big, long-term contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs, Bowe landed on the non-football illness (NFI) list, according to the NFL's official transaction report released Friday.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid later said during a news conference that Bowe has a chest virus and is congested, KCSP-AM reported. Reid said the illness is unrelated to the rib injury Bowe sustained in December.
The coach expects his top receiver "back pretty quick."
