Super Bowl XLVII MVP Joe Flacco flaunted his swag Tuesday, brushing off questions about the Baltimore Ravens losing tight end Dennis Pittafor the 2013 season.
"It's not going to change really what we do or anything like that," Flacco said, his first comments since the tight end's injury, per The Baltimore Sun. "Obviously, you're going to miss a guy like that. He's a good target, a good player. But we'll adjust and we'll do everything we can to go out there and play the way we always do."
The $120 million quarterback said he doesn't feel any added pressure losing Pitta (hip injury), Anquan Boldin (traded to the San Francisco 49ers) and even backup tight end Ed Dickson, who's out for the next week or so with a slight hamstring tear.
"It doesn't do anything really to me," Flacco said. "You love those guys when they are here. It's pretty easy to realize the fact that they're not here, so what are you going to do about it? You have to move on. We have a lot of talented players out there, and we feel good about what we have the ability to do. We're just excited to go do it."
Flacco specifically mentioned Deonte Thompson and Tandon Doss as players he expects to play big roles in the passing game.
Compare the Ravens' receiving group with similar situations around the NFL -- Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles, the injured 49ers and New England Patriots quickly come to mind. Flacco's team isn't unique in dealing with a pass-catching corps in transition.
