Jarvis Jones and Jason Worilds were listed as co-starters at outside linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers before Week 1. Their workload in the season opener indicates that the two players will be splitting time on the field.
Jones split time with Worilds in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Tennessee Titans, with Worilds playing 46 snaps to Jones' 30, per the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
It will be interesting to see if Jones' snaps increase during the season, starting with Monday night's matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
It isn't a knock on Worilds' play. He was solid Sunday, but Jones adds extra fire to the Steelers' defensive forge.
Jones had two tackles in his first NFL game. And they were loud. Both were for losses, including the absolute obliteration of Titans running back Chris Johnson in the second quarter.
