Players in Jets-Patriots fight expected to be fined, not suspended

The NFL is expected to levy fines, not suspensions, on players involved in the New York Jets-New England Patriots fight at the end of the Pats' 13-10 victory on "Thursday Night Football."

The scuffle started after Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib was hit late by Jets center Nick Mangold as he was running out of bounds following his fourth-quarter interception. Tempers flared afterward, and Jets offensive linemen D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Willie Colon were ejected for their role in the fight.

As the teams were being separated, Colon made contact with an official, and he is expected to be hit the hardest by the league, a source involved in the process told me.
