Justin Houston's dominance over the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line in the Kansas City Chiefs' 26-16 win Thursday night got a statistical boost.
On Friday, Houston was credited with another sack of Michael Vick on the Eagles' final play, giving him 4.5 sacks for the game. There was a "manual input error" when the play was reviewed and declared a fumble, the Chiefstold The Kansas City Star. That error was corrected.
Houston was a monster all night. In addition to his 4.5 sacks, the outside linebacker's stat line also included four tackles for loss, three passes defensed and two fumble recoveries.
The additional sack puts Houston at 7.5 through three games, meaning he is on pace for 40 this season. Michael Strahan holds the single-season record with 22.5, which Houston has his sights set on.
"It would be great if I could get the record," Houston said Thursday. "I'm pretty sure all pass rushers have got that in mind."
