The Dallas Cowboys found the balance on offense they've been looking for. This was bad news for the St. Louis Rams.
DeMarco Murray piled up 175 yards on 26 carries in an easy 31-7 win at AT&T Stadium on Sunday. The Cowboys sit alone atop the NFC East at 2-1.
Dallas set the tone from the start, as Murray picked up 43 yards on six carries on the team's opening touchdown-drive. One drive was all the Cowboys needed to best their rushing production from their Week 2 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Here's what else we learned:
- The Rams paid Jake Long like an elite left tackle. He's not playing that way. Long was beaten for sacks by both DeMarcus Ware and Kyle Wilber and was eventually pulled from the game.
- Still waiting to see dynamic production from Rams wideout Tavon Austin. The first-round draft pick had six catches for just 30 yards.
- The Rams did a great job protecting Sam Bradford in the season's first two weeks. Sunday counted as a significant setback. Bradford was sacked six times and hit constantly. He'll be sore in the morning.
- It might be time to drop the narrative that the NFC West is stacked with four quality teams. This is the second consecutive week the Rams have fallen behind an opponent 24-0.
