The Chicago Bears' replacement for Brian Urlacher will need to be replaced.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports that middle linebacker D.J. Williams is out for the season with a torn pectoral muscle, according to source who has spoken with Williams. Rookie Jon Bostic will take over the position in Chicago.
Williams was off to a solid start this season taking Urlacher's place. But Bostic, who was taken in the second round of this year's draft to be Urlacher's long-term replacement, impressed in training camp. Bostic has a lot of promise, and is a nice option off the bench.
Still, Chicago recently lost defensive tackles Henry Melton and Nate Collins for the season. The Bears' offense is better than it has been in a long time, but the defense is not the same.
