Now that he's the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, Josh Freeman is free to speak his mind about his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Not long after Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Wednesday that Freeman would startagainst the New York Giants, the quarterback told reporters he'd be prepared to lead the offense and went out of his way to compliment how his new employer does business.
Freeman opined about a Vikings organization stocked with people committed to being "quality human beings," saying "they do things the right way around here," per Tom Pelissero of USA Today.
It's a not-so-subtle jab at the Bucs, who handled Freeman's benching and subsequent release with a distinct lack of grace. Freeman has stayed relatively quiet about the split, but it's clear he's content to be in Minnesota -- and not Tampa -- as he attempts to rebuild his career.
