For the third week in a row, Oregon sophomore quarterback Marcus Mariota was atop the HeismanPundit Straw Poll.
Each week, HeismanPundit.com polls 10 Heisman voters -- who remain anonymous -- from across the country. Each voter selects three players, first place through third, and points are tabulated like a real Heisman ballot (three points for a first-place vote, two points for a second-place vote and one point for a third-place vote).
Only five players -- all quarterbacks -- received votes this week.
This week, Mariota had 22 points. Florida State redshirt freshman Jameis Winston was second with 19, followed by Texas A&M sophomore Johnny Manziel (13), Baylor junior Bryce Petty (four) and Northern Illinois senior Jordan Lynch (two).
