The night was supposed to be about Case Keenum. Instead, Andrew Luck stole the show.
Luck led the Indianapolis Colts on four scoring drives in the second half on Sunday night, wiping out an 18-point deficit and lifting his team to a stunning 27-24 win over the Houston Texans.
Keenum was the game's star for two quarters, hooking up with Andre Johnson on three scores. But Houston sputtered in the second half, giving Luck the type of opening he's taken advantage of often during his short career.
The Colts scored on their first four possessions of the second half, working mostly out of the shotgun and running the ball just once. T.Y. Hilton did his best Reggie Wayne impression with touchdown receptions of 10, 58, and 9 yards in successive possessions. Luck turned it on after a first half in which he faced constant pressure and went 3-of-12 passing for 56 yards.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Luck has led the Colts to 10 game-winning drives during the fourth quarter or overtime -- the most by a quarterback in his first two seasons during the Super Bowl era.
The win moves the Colts to 6-2 and keeps them two games ahead of the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South. They also buried the Texans from a division standpoint, leaving the defending South champs four games back with eight to play.
They have Luck to thank for that.
