When defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was announced as Houston Texansinterim coach Wednesday, there was no timetable for coach Gary Kubiak's return from a "mini-stroke."
Kubiak now is expected to miss only one week. The Houston Chronicle's John McClain told NFL Network's "Around The League Live" on Thursday that the Texans plan for Kubiak to resume coaching duties in Week 11 versus the Oakland Raiders.
For the first time since he collapsed at halftime of last week's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Kubiak visited his players at the end of practice Thursday.
Although Kubiak was not available to the media, Phillips said the coach "looked good," according to the Chronicle.
Kubiak will look even better Monday if Phillips can put an end to the Texans' six-game skid when they travel to Arizona to face the 4-4 Cardinals on Sunday.
The latest "Around The League Podcast" previewed "Thursday Night Football" and "stuck a fork" in the Raiders' 2013 chances.
