Sean Lee thinks he could play Thursday against the Oakland Raiders, Jerry Jones said Tuesday. But the Dallas Cowboys owner isn't nearly as confident.
"That's probably optimistic," Jones told KRLD-FM when asked about the possibility of Lee playing on Thanksgiving, via The Dallas Morning News. "He thinks he's got a chance, but Sean's one of the most optimistic players there has ever been on the Dallas Cowboys. But that's probably optimistic."
Lee, who suffered a hamstring injury in the Week 10 blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints, is more likely to return for the Cowboys' Week 14 game against the Chicago Bears on "Monday Night Football."
Earlier this month, Jones said he thought "Superman" Lee could return sooner than the initially diagnosed 3 to 4 weeks. However, it looks like original time frame will be spot-on.
