Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had an "inspirational" performance Thursday, according to owner Jerry Jones.
Romo's play during the Cowboys' 31-24 victory over the Oakland Raiders wasn't just "inspirational" for his solid stat line, but because the quarterback played with a stomach virus, Jones told NFL Media's Desmond Purnell after the game.
Romo completed all 12 passes he attempted in the second half, helping the Cowboys score 24 unanswered points. Dallas needed a strong showing from Romo to retake the lead in the NFC East over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Romo finished the game 23 of 32 for 225 yards and one touchdown.
