A look at the top 10 performances by wide receivers from Week 14:
10. Jordan Matthews, Vanderbilt
The key stats:11 receptions for 125 yards in a win over Wake Forest.
The buzz: Matthews had a key catch to set up the Commodores' game-winning field goal, adding to his SEC-record totals and giving Vanderbilt its second consecutive eight-win regular season.
9. Mario Alford, West Virginia
The key stats:Eight receptions for 215 yards and one touchdown in an overtime loss to Iowa State.
The buzz: Could Alford be the next Tavon Austin for the Mountaineers? The 5-foot-9, 175-pound junior did a pretty good impression of the St. Louis Rams' speedster, finishing with 311 all-purpose yards and scoring on a 76-yard touchdown reception. If Alford can emerge as that game-breaking threat next season, West Virginia could bounce back from its disappointing 4-8 campaign.
8. Christian Jones, Northwestern
The key stats:13 receptions for 182 yards and two touchdowns in a win at Illinois.
The buzz: Jones helped the Wildcats break a seven-game losing streak by setting career-highs in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. If Jones (6-3, 225) can harness this performance in his senior season, he could emerge as the centerpiece of the Northwestern passing offense.
7. Allen Robinson, Penn State
The key stats: Eight receptions for 122 yards in a win at Wisconsin.
The buzz:Robinson continued his record-setting senior season by pacing the Nittany Lions in catches and yardage to end the Badgers' hopes of making a fourth-consecutive BCS bowl appearance. Robinson needs just three receptions in Penn State's bowl game to become the school's all-time leader in career receptions.

6. Jamison Crowder, Duke
The key stats: Five receptions for 54 yards and two touchdowns in a win at North Carolina.
The buzz: Duke won its school-record 10th game of the season and secured its place in the ACC championship game next week against Florida State, thanks in large part to the junior Crowder. Crowder eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards for the second consecutive season and has been a major component in getting Duke to back-to-back bowls.
5. Davante Adams, Fresno State
The key stats: Three first-quarter touchdowns in a loss to San Jose State
The buzz: Adams, who had 13 receptions for a career-high 264 yards and three touchdowns, delivered his share of highlights in the wild 62-52 shootout between senior quarterbacks Derek Carr and David Fales. It was the second straight 200-yard game and third of the season for the redshirt sophomore.
4. Josh Huff, Oregon
The key stats:Caught game-winning touchdown pass in Civil War against Oregon State.
The buzz: Huff had nine receptions for 186 yards and three touchdowns, the last with 29 seconds remaining to give the Ducks a 36-35 win over the Beavers. Huff, a senior playing in his last game at Autzen Stadium, showed great awareness to find holes in the defense and came up with the tough catches in the most crucial moments.
3. Jeremy Gallon, Michigan
The key stats: Nine receptions for 175 yards and one touchdown in a loss to Ohio State.
The buzz: Gallon had the most receiving yards of any Michigan player in the history of the storied rivalry between the Wolverines and Buckeyes, edging the 172 yards Braylon Edwards had in 2004. Gallon (5-8, 184) is undersized by any measure, but 1,284 yards and nine touchdowns as a redshirt senior against Big Ten competition should earn him a chance to prove himself in an NFL camp.
2. Kelvin Benjamin, Florida State
The key stats: Nine receptions for 212 yards and three touchdowns in a win at Florida.
The buzz: Benjamin absolutely shredded the talented Gators' secondary, catching touchdown passes of 45, 29 and 4 yards to keep the Seminoles on track for a berth in the BCS national championship game. Setting career-highs in receptions, yards and touchdowns, it was the breakout performance observers had been waiting for from the redshirt sophomore. With his big body (6-5, 234) and reported 4.52 40-yard dash, Benjamin could emerge as a top-tier prospect next season.
1. Amari Cooper, Alabama
The key stats: Six receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown in a loss at Auburn
The buzz: Cooper had a 99-yard touchdown reception that looked like it would give the Crimson Tide an Iron Bowl win, a spot in the SEC championship game, and keep hopes of a third consecutive BCS national championship alive.
Then this happened.
