DeAngelo Hall's uncanny ability to come through with a career year in a contract season must have snakebitten football players across generations cursing their rotten luck.
Two weeks after reports surfaced that the Washington Redskins had jumpstarted talks with the impending free agent, Hall hit the contract jackpot for the fourth time since entering the NFL in 2004.
A person informed of the talks told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport on Wednesday that Hall signed a four-year, $17 million contract, which includes a $3.25 million signing bonus with $2 million more in guaranteed money.
Hall will receive $8.5 million in the first two years of the contract.
The defensive back confirmed Tuesday, via Twitter, that he is "back" with Robert Griffin III in Washington. The team made the signing official Wednesday morning.
To his credit, Hall bounced back with his best season since 2010, tallying three defensive touchdowns, four interceptions and three forced fumbles.
