Kirk Cousins isn't untouchable, but don't expect to see him change football addresses this offseason.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that the Washington Redskins do not intend to trade their backup quarterback.
This comes two days after a report surfaced that Washington was looking for a second-round draft pick in exchange for Cousins. It's a high price tag for a former fourth-round pick who's been inconsistent when given the opportunity to play in his first two seasons.
According to Rapoport, there isn't a market for Cousins at that price and the Redskins aren't particularly motivated to deal away a cheap and capable understudy to Robert Griffin III.
Barring a surprise offer, the Redskins will hold onto their economical security blanket.
