The Buffalo Bills have another famous suitor fighting to buy the franchise.
Rocker Jon Bon Jovi reportedly will be the face of a Toronto-based group seeking to purchase the club, according to the Toronto Sun.
"Jon remains passionate in his pursuit of an NFL franchise," Bon Jovi publicist Ken Sunshine told the Sun in an email Thursday.
Unlike Donald Trump, who said last week he would work to keep the Bills in Buffalo if he bought the franchise, Bon Jovi's group would look to move the team to Toronto.
Due to a rock-solid lease agreement signed by late owner Ralph Wilson Jr., the earliest the Bills reportedly would be able to move is 2020.
This isn't the first time Bon Jovi has been linked to NFL ownership, including the Bills. Bon Jovi's publicist denied the singer-songwriter was trying to buy the team last November, when Wilson was still alive.
Wilson's family said in a statement following his death that a "process will be established" to sell the team.
According to the Sun, Bon Jovi likely lacks the cash to own the majority stake in an NFL franchise, but he could be the face of a deep-pocketed group.
