The Cleveland Browns own two first-round draft picks, but they might be angling to gain a third.
General manager Ray Farmer has talked to at least one team in the bottom of the first round about trading up from the Browns' second-round slot (35th overall), according to TheMMQB.com's Peter King.
King suggests the Browns could be looking to jump ahead of the Houston Texans, who lead off Round 2.
Farmer probing the possibility of trading back into the first round indicates he might prefer to go with a position player at the No. 4 and 26 slots -- most assumed the Browns would take a quarterback, their biggest need, at one of those two positions.
Who might be open for business late in Round 1?
King suggests the Seahawks, with the 32nd pick, might be willing to drop back three spots. Seattle general manager John Schneider is pinching pennies, with extensions for Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman coming in the next year.
Given Seattle's penchant for snagging late-round talent, picking up a fourth-round pick (Cleveland has two) to move down a couple spots and save about $350,000 per season on the cap sounds a lot like a Seahawks-type of move.
